The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA or PPACA) contains comprehensive health insurance reforms and includes tax provisions that affect individuals, families, businesses, insurers, tax-exempt organizations and government entities. These tax provisions contain important changes, including how individuals and families file their taxes. The law also contains benefits and responsibilities for other organizations and employers.
Employer responsibilities vary upon the size of the organization.
Over 50 employees – ALE – Applicable Large Employers are required to offer affordable coverage with minimum value standards.  ALE’s are required to report on coverage annual to the IRS.  So much more goes into this. Full Time and Full Time Equivalents; Measuring Periods and Stability Periods; Much More.
